Giving Back | Yampa Valley Sustainability Council

Our small community of Steamboat Springs has so many wonderful organizations that strive to make a difference. The Yampa Valley Sustainability Council is one of them! For a while, I volunteered as a restaurant representative for their waste diversion management task force. Among other initiatives, the organization has successfully passed a plastic bag ban in our town, has helped to improve and increase our recycling program, and has helped organize and execute zero waste events in Steamboat.
